A lovely start to the morning when Maggi brought me a cup of coffee in bed. Perhaps I really didnt want to wake up at that moment, but the loving thought is much appreciated. When I found that I still couldnt add Calendar entries using Deepseek I switched to Claude Sonnet today – much more reliable

Lunch with Bernard
Maggi had arranged for Susie and Kay to come over for lunch so I changed my arrangement with Bernard. Instead of meeting him for coffee I changed it to lunch, but still at the cricketers. New paragraph. He forgot to bring his hearing aid which meant he did most of the talking as he couldn’t quite hear me in the slightly noisy restaurant. He claimed he had no appetite but put away his Mac and Cheese very easily. I chose the beer and mushroom pie which tasted fine. When I returned home the girls were still there and I found Maggi cleaning the floor after a coffee spillage. I joined them to drink a half a cup and then promptly left to have a short walk and pick up my multi-tablet prescription from Gor the chemist.
Good Result at Bridge
In the evening I picked up Pat and Anne for our trip to Sobell Bridge Club. Both of them very chipper as they had both come in as winning their section at Vagabonds Bridge Club the night before. Pat and I sat North/South and things didn’t seem to go that well but at the end of the penultimate round I looked at the ranking and we sat fourth. we played the final round and to mine at Pat’s surprise we had shot up 4% points to 58% and had come first for North/South. Anne on the other had had come last.
