The morning with Barbara & Susie involved a drive to Antibes. A drink just near the old market and a wander around the lanes.

The statue above is dedicated to Jean Etienne Championnet (1762-1800) a commander in Napoleon’s revolutionary forces. He became the leader of the Bonaparte’s Italian Army and died of some illness in Antibes.

A slow trip home to La Colle interrupted by a visit to Leclerc where the girls purchased several bottles of wine and various other necessities for the home.

In the evening we drove up to Vence and had a wander around the old town.

After a couple of tours we found a restaurant just near the Peyre fountain which was very average. We had one course, drove back had eat the cake purchased at Leclerc.
