Maggi and I alone in the house with Bennett. After breakfast I descended into the completely messy basement. I cleared up a few things such that I could lay the yoga mat down in a clean area. Adrienne then talked me through 30 minutes of stretching etc.

Maggi needed a walk as she didn’t leave the house all yesterday. We chose to drive down through Ballard to Golden Gardens which is only 18 minutes from the house. We parked facing the Olympic Mountains in a half-empty car park and walked along beside Puget Sound.

Bennett didn’t behave very well for two days, leaving a messes around the house

A clear blue sky gave us a clear view of the mountains on the other side of the water. The fine weather also brought a distinct chill to the air. I’m very glad that Maggi bought me a bobble hat for Christmas.

All along the beach signs showed the symbol for no dogs, but loads of law abiding US citizens had taken their dogs onto the beach. Maggi and I kept to the path with Bennett.

The Olympics

On the way back we stopped off at Macrina Bakery for a fresh loaf for lunch. On our return that Bennett had shat, weed and been sick on the floor. Before we could have any lunch we needed to clear up this mess.

The rest of the after we dedicated spentwalking Bennett again( so there were no more accidents), messing on the computer and Maggi watched a little TV. Around 3:30 the cleaners arrived and spent 3 hours thoroughly clearing the place from bedrooms through to basement.

In the evening MAggi and I drove up to Queen Anne Avenue to have a meal at How to Cook a Wolf. We had the tastiest meal of our US trip. I can’t say the service pleased me, because they rushed us from one plate to another. We only had three plates of food between us, plus bread. We shared everything. My favourite dish consisted of cauliflower, sprouts, pistachios and Greek yogurt. Our next dish consisted of raw fish with sqashed spicy tomato and fried capers and garlic. Finally we shared the veggie spaghetti with a tomato sauce. All very nice.

I then took Bennett out for a walk again.
