Tuesday 30th

Woke up this morning to Bennett barking. When I left the bedroom I found that he had shat and peed in several places around the house. I didn’t want to wake Maggi as she doesn’t feel that well so I cleared up the mess. That job took about 40 minutes. It didn’t endear me to Bennett.

After breakfast we set off for a walk and drove to near Highland Drive. We then walked along and looked out on the Olympics and then on Mt Ranier., a beautiful view with the city in the foreground and the mountain behind.

Walking along Highland Drive we had Bennett either having a shot or trying to have one or dragging his bum along the ground to clean it. I’m looking forward to the family returning so we can not be responsible for this dog.

We drop into Safeway to buy soup and oranges for lunch. I then have the pleasure in watching Arsenal beat Aston Villa 4-1. The first half ended 0-0 but as soon as the 2nd half started everything seemed to click. It all kicked off with a Gabriel goal from a corner.

It’s a long time since I have watched the Gunners dismantle a top team like Villa.

The afternoon consisted f a visit to a pharmacy to buy earwax thinning oil. I then installed Vaultwarden on the Synology very easily, which was probably the highlight of the day.

In the evening we watched a very ordinary film about a dysfunctional family at Christmas.
