We picked up the Rileys and Mandie from Northwood and drove them to the church and pub. Mark led the way into the pub and then I paid for drinks for himself and Fiona, as well as Maggi and me. I would have thought that having given him a lift to and from the wedding the least he could have done is pay for a drink.
We walked down the road to the church where the vicar performed a short but pleasant ceremony.

The bride looked stunning in a very attractive dress. Even Matt looked pretty smart.
After the ceremony and throwing of confetti (rose petals in this case) we drove down to Will’s new in laws place which was no more than a mile away. Naturally we took Mark, Fiona and Mandie, despite Mark not having purchased a drink for quite some time.
The in-laws have a magnificent pad and the dad has obviously done very well commercially or inherited a mint. It’s odd because Matt told me that the in-laws were not prepared to help Will and his new mate with any property purchases as they had spent all their money on their own home.

The wedding all looked very pretty, but there was nothing very exciting about the event. I don’t think Matt and Helen had much input apart from cash and drinks into the day’s happening. No one could complain about the excellent food that was served in the marquee.
We left the wedding relatively early because we needed to leave for France at 6 am. Funnily enough we gave Fiona and Mark a lift back. They were both drunk by that time. Mandie remained sensible.
