Split Whiskers at Dusty’s

  • by

Morning walk from Pinner to Rickmansworth to meet Steve at The Coach and Horses for lunch. Weather was brilliantly sunny at the start, but by the time I arrived it was overcast and cold.

Steve told me he had been made redundant as his magazine had folded. He claimed that he intended to have a 1 year sabbatical. He didn’t seem particularly bothered about it all. Having entered the pub at 1 pm we didn’t leave until 3:30.

Took the tube back to Pinner and had a chat to Ian Chapman. He was out on a 14 mile walk in Stratford and passing along the banks of the Avon.

Maggi didn’t return until after 5 when we watched the final episode of The Morning Show. The second series was a let down in comparison with the first.

Split Whiskers

To Dusty’s in Holmer Green. Picked up Steve, Khin and Matt to watch Split Whiskers. They were excellent. Very good guitarist, keyboard player and front guy with a solid rhythm section. All blues music. It was great to be watching live music again. I haven’t seen a live band for more than 3 years. This was a great return to the experience.

Landed at home a few minutes before midnight. I couldn’t seem to charge the car when I got back.
