The morning began with a bowl of Greek Yogurt, the remains of nuts and seeds we had and a cup of coffee. I really wanted to have a walk today as we have a flight to Glasgow later.
I managed a 1 hour traipse to North Harrow and back. In Pinner I popped into Marks and Spencer to pick up croissants for the remainder of our breakfast. The lack of air conditioning in the hot sweaty store surprised me.
Our journey to Glasgow began around 12:40 when I drove to the airport. Despite our flight not due until 4 pm Maggi wanted to be early so we could have lunch there.
I placed all my valuables in my carry on case and with Islay we passed easily through security. On the other side Maggi started pulling the top of my case apart. Apparently she felt an overriding need to take possession of the return slip for Terminal Parking. She then started to complain that I had some dirty tissues in the compartment. I really didn’t appreciate her intervention to which she objected.
We sat in the lounge for too long. It became tedious and we all probably ate and drank too much.
Eventually we made our way down to the gate and sat in our seats. I gave up my place and sat where Islay should have been in 25b, squeezed between two Asian women. The flight looks absolutely full not a spare seat in sight.
Adam managed to pick us up from the airport. We received a hug from Sarah when we landed at Aytoun Road.
We had a tour of the garden that Sarah had newly laid out as well as the changes to the bathrooms and double glazing which need to be funded.
Sarah had cooked a nice vegetarian supper based on aubergine which I really enjoyed.
At 9 o’clock we needed to pick up Finn from the ground of Glasgow Warriors where he had been taking part in a tournament earlier. We stood around ages waiting for him to come out of the ground. I still had my shorts and a thin shirt on so I felt quite cold and shivery waiting there.

It was interesting to see the locals coming out smiling as their team had won and holding the sponsored flags.
We came back and shortly afterwards sorted ourselves out for our uncomfortable bed.
