The return journey from La Colle

Maggi woke me this morning just after 7 with announcement that BA had cancelled our flight at 11:50 to Heathrow and assigned us a seat on the 19:45 flight.

When we looked at the BA flights from Nice to London we could see many seats on earlier flights still available. Both of us phoned BA and listened to the inane repeated messages that are broadcast as you wait. I waited 40 minutes Maggi waited even longer. Eventually she spoke to a service agent and he moved our booking to 12:15 going to London City instead of Heathrow.

When we arrived at the airport we found that our 12:15 flight delayed by 20 minutes. We sat around the lounge waiting to board. Bored we both ate a second breakfast or was it an early lunch.

The flight worked out fine. We arrived at London City Airport more or less on time and arrived home about the same time as we would have if the flight hadn’t been cancelled.

We cleared our cases and set the washing machine off. Each of us did a share of the necessary shopping and I threw in a walk down to North Harrow and back. My Achilles seems to have improved while I’ve been away.

Home and possibly back into a routine. I phoned Bernard and arranged to see him next Thursday. I also called Norman Marks, having already sent him a WhatsApp and got Steph. She promised to phone back within the hour but I’ve heard nothing 3 hours later. No big deal if I don’t.

I never received the daily digest this morning. This business with Openclaw is not as easy as it should be.
