It seems crazy that Maggi and I have been married for such a long time. However, neither of us bought each other a card this morning. I had planned to meet Maggi at Hatton Garden to look for a necklace to celebrate this year’s milestone.
While Maggi went off to meet Helen Lewis in town I stayed around Pinner until mid-afternoon and then set off to Farringdon to meet up. Maggi said that she wasn’t interested in going to Hatton Garden to find jewellery but despite this she agreed to go.
When I met her she had already been there for about half-hour and had gone into one shop where they had found a couple of necklaces she quite liked. Then they brought out a charming necklace and I brought the price down by £200 and we decided to go for it. I believe she was very chuffed by the new purchase.

We had booked a table at Morrow the restaurant in Exmouth Market for 7 pm but we had finished our shopping by 4:45. We had a drink and then when for our meal.

Neither Maggi nor I were enamoured by the meal. We had a tapas mixture to start with and the Maggi had the lamb and I had a vegetarian mezze for main course. We haven’t been there for something like 3 years and they hadn’t changed their vegetarian option in all that time.
