Back to Seattle from Whidbey

Maggi and I drove down to Freeland to visit the Pharmacy. We looked at all the boxes containing supposed solutions for a damaged Achilles. After much thought we bought an ankle compression type sock, an ankle support and a heel raiser for inside my shoe.

We drove back after I had fitted all these new contraptions to my foot and leg. Sarah, Alex and Adam had completed the house cleanup and the place looked really good.

We headed to the ferry and managed to board the first boat to arrive. My passengers included Maggi, Adam and Keir. The crossing only takes about 20 minutes and we were soon on our way.

The ferry crossing from Whidbey

Alex had managed to disembark in front of us and as we drove along we received a call from her to say they were on their way to the Sounders match at the T-Mobilbe Park and that Adam and Keir should join them there.

Alex had made joining in almost a fait accompli. Nobody knew the cost and Adam was definitely embarrassed about how he could afford this extravagance. I never asked either of them how they resolved this issue after the game and who paid what.

Maggi and I drove home after dropping Adam and Keir at the stadium and pottered around. I put the game on the telly but it proved utterly boring with only one run scored during the whole 9 innings.

The original plan had involved going out for a meal on our last evening but Greg insisted on cooking. He gave everyone a choice, curry or sausage and mash. It turned out that Keir was put down for curry and he wanted sausage and the curry was chicken. That meant I had some mash and a little bit of curry with a couple of pieces of chicken fished out.

After dinner everyone seemed to disperse. I didn’t want to move around too much as my leg hurt with walking. I put on the tv and picked up on a Netflix series about Avicci called I’m Tim.

The stage name Avicci represented a hip hop artist and DJ who had a huge following. He also wanted to write more memorable songs. I couldn’t watch the second half as everyone one returned to the main sitting room and it became impossible to hear the dialogue.

Anyway it was getting late and I wanted to go to bed and rest my leg so I never saw the end of the program.
