This morning we set off to Tate Modern to see the Expressionists Exhibition, chiefly featuring art by Kadinsky and Münter, although other artists from The Blue Rider group were also represented.
Find below some of the pictures I took from the exhibition.

I wasn’t super impressed by the exhibition of all the artists on show I perhaps preferred the work of Gabriele Mûnter. It surprised me that no painting on show came from the period after the start of the First World War, as if they ran out of creativity because of the war. I would have liked to have seen their later work.
Having spent about 90 minutes at Tate Modern we crossed town to John Lewis where I bought two pairs of very nice ankle socks, that put my other socks to shame. Out of there and on to Ole & Stein for a coffee and sandwich and a couple of loaves of bread. That set us back £27.
Our final stop on our whistle stop tour of London took us to Marylebone High Street where I bought a pair of shorts from Slower much to Maggi’s disgust because she thinks everything in the shop is too expensive. I agree with her, but I like their stuff. She purchased a white T-shirt for much less.
We returned home and after a bit of messing around I headed off to the airport to pick up Alex, Greg and the kids. We came home and the children went out to play with Alex, Rory and Milo almost straight away. It seemed like they had only seen them the day before.
