Flight
As we approached Nashville airport as usual the captain announced the temperature, 0 degrees Celsius. The thought alone made shiver.
The flight had proceeded very smoothly. I think the seat belt sign lit up once but I don’t remember any turbulence at all. I watched three films but only one had any merit, called Springstein, a tale of Bruce’s childhood and how it affected his career.
Airbnb
The journey in our bulky American hire car to our home for the next 3 nights was easy. We had to park outside the block of flats use the code to enter via the main door. We took the lift to the 4th floor and opened the door to our studio flat.
Before we could explore noir new space we returned to the car and drove it around the back to the apartment’s garage.
Back upstairs we found a large double bed, a very big toilet/shower/laundry room and an area to eat, cook and watch television. Just adequate for Maggi and I to enjoy while we are here in Nashville.
Wholefoods
Neither of us want to eat in cafes or restaurant every day so we drove down to Wholefoods. The expensive store lived up to its reputation. The bill came to $143 and included 2 bottles of wine, stuff for a packed lunch and breakfast. We didn’t even buy butter for our cheese sandwiches.
We returned to the flat and tried to work out a plan for tomorrow. By the time we had chatted about the possibilities the clock had hit 9 o’clock and both of us got into bed and fell asleep.
