Like many of our encounters with Madeleine and Tom this centred around food.
We arranged to meet outside the Pepite Restaurant at the La Napoule Marina. We arrived on time and waited for 10 minutes for them to show up. All hugs and kisses when they arrived. Well that is true for Madeleine, it is much more restrained from Tom. A firm handshake will do for him.
We walked along the coast around the chateau of La Napoule with its views across the bay.

As usual we split into male and female partners and strolled along and around the chateau. The weather did not inspire, cold and overcast, so no hope of eating out of doors. The weather remained like that for the rest of our stay in France (until the 9th).
Having completed our mini tour of the outside of the chateau we entered the restaurant and I ordered a vegetarian a tofu satay stir fry which tasted fine and a coffee. We chatted about nothing i particular, but it emerged that Tom and Madeleine have completely different tastes in viewing. He is interested inn rugby and cricket while she prefers tennis and more romantic stuff. In fact it seemed that they rarely sat down to to watch the same thing together.
We left them and drove down the coast a little way stopped the car and had another walk along the promenade where we saw two young girls riding unicycles.
Maggi and I then drove back to La Colle along the coast which took much longer than going by the motorway.
