Jet lag lingers on and Maggi and I were both awake before 6 am. As there was nothing for breakfast we decided to pop out to the shops and pick up a few supplies. After our return Maggi made scrambled eggs for a few.
Helen, Maggi, Matt, Sadie and I walked down to the canal and crossed over the bridge to Fremantle. The Fremantle Fair hadn’t really started as we walked between some open stalls and many that hadn’t been reopened yet. There was only one ride in the Fair, a slide.
We popped into the Cow Bakery and had a cappuccino but found we had one with oat milk. I quite like it but Maggi hated it.
We walked back and on the way Alex picked me up and took me to watch Carrie play in her local football team. They lost 3-1. At 9 years old the players had no tactical awareness whatever. They all chase the ball. The best side won.
When we returned to the house Maggi and Co had prepared lunch. In the afternoon we went out to Discovery Park however it poured with rain and I walked back to the car. The others carried on. I waited patiently for them and my prediction that they would be ¾ hour was accurate.
In the evening we went for fish n chips at Chinook’s which is fairly close.

After the meal we all went to Molly Moo’s on 6th Avenue and everyone except me had an ice-cream. Most people choose a child’s portion except Helen and Matt. They regretted it and wasted the lower half of the ice-cream.
